49th Operations Group

The 49th Operations Group supports national security objectives, as directed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, by training U.S. Air Force and allied aircrews in MQ-9 pilot and sensor operator upgrade training as well as instructor and fighter weapons instructor courses. The 49th Operations Group is comprised of four squadrons, including the 6th Attack Squadron, 9th Attack Squadron, 29th Attack Squadron, 16th Training Squadron. The 49th Operations Group also oversees two geographically separated units to include the 491st Attack Squadron located at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, New York, and the 492nd Attack Squadron located at March Air Reserve Base, California.

49th Maintenance Group

The 49th Maintenance Group maintains F-16 Fighting Falcon and MQ-9 Reaper aircraft along with associated Ground Control Stations in the Air Force's largest flying training operation.  The group also provides maintenance support M1 contract maintained T-38 aircraft.  The 49th Maintenance Group directs all maintenance qualification, on-the-job and ancillary training for 700 Airmen, civilians, and contract personnel, managing over $5.5 billion in aircraft and equipment.  Finally, the group also supports flying activities, exercises and worldwide taskings as assigned by the Combatant Commanders and the Secretary of Defense against high value targets. 
 

54th Fighter Group

The 54th Fighter Group at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, provides an extensive flying hour program that trains an average of 180 students per year, averaging more than 10,800 sorties and 14,600 hours per fiscal year. The 54th Fighter Group is comprised of five squadrons, including the 311th Fighter Squadron, 314th Fighter Squadron, 8th Fighter Squadron, 54th Training Squadron and 54th Operations Support Squadron. The group consists of approximately 800 personnel, maintains $2.2 billion in F-16 assets and executes a $144 million operations and maintenance budget to carry out F-16 training.

49th Medical Group

The 49th Medical Group's mission is to sustain and enhance a culture of safety, maximize combat readiness, enhance access to quality patient care, and develop our Airmen and staff.
 

49th Mission Support Group

The 49th Mission Support Group provides a wide spectrum of support services for wing and tenant organizations -- these include military and civilian personnel support, maintenance of facility and utility systems, security police duties, communication capabilities, and family leisure programs for Holloman.

704th Test Group

The 704th Test Group at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, is a unit of Arnold Engineering and Development Complex, headquartered at Arnold AFB (AFMC), TN, which is part of the Air Force Test Center, headquartered at Edwards AFB, CA.. The Test Group's mission is to operate world-class test facilities for high speed sled track testing, navigation and guidance system testing, radar signature measurements, weapon systems flight testing, and Air Force Liaison for all AF programs tested at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR).

635th Materiel Maintenance

The 635th Materiel Maintenance Group is responsible for the storage, inspection, repair, deployment and accountability of bare base assets belonging to Air Combat Command. The group's 431 authorized personnel encompass 42 Air Force specialties and are responsible for bare base assets worth over $234 million.
