Chief Master Sergeant James J. Patrie is the command chief master sergeant for the commander, 49th Wing, Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. In this capacity, he serves as the principal senior enlisted military advisor to the wing commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the 3,488 enlisted personnel on the base
Chief Patrie grew up in Woonsocket, R.I. He originally entered the Air Force in 1985. His background includes various leadership and knowledge operations management duties at the major command, field operating agency, wing and detachment levels. His assignments include Texas, Vermont, Virginia and New Mexico. The chief also served overseas in South Korea, Germany and deployed to Southwest Asia in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Before assuming his current position, he served as superintendent, Mission Support Group, 377th Air Base Wing, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.
