Kevin Huyck, 49th Wing vice commander, radios the pilot of an Air Force search and rescue helicopter that found and was transporting a search subject to White Sands Nation Monument Headquarters Jan. 16, for evaluation and reuniting with his family. Huyck was leading the search effort that helped coordinate more than 70 Air Force personnel in the massive, multi-agency search for the lost 15 year old boy who suffers from autism. HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Camillo “Billy” DiCarlo, 49th Communications Squadron, installs a lock on a new mailbox unit Jan. 13. DiCarlo was one of several volunteers from the 49th CS working on a project to install new mailboxes throughout the entire Holloman dormitory complex. This self-help project will save the Air Force an estimated $100,000 and improve the quality of living for approximately 560 Airmen residing in the dormitories.
