Holloman youth participate in Sideline Sports Camp
Children play lacrosse during a Sideline Sports Camp at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., July 13. The goal of the camp, which took place July 9-13, is to expand each participant’s understanding of non-traditional sports, improve physical fitness, and develop an appreciation for the various sports offered. Each day of the camp, the Sideline Sports instructors introduced a new sport to the participants, including ultimate frisbee, handball, badminton, fencing and lacrosse. German Air Force in the load competition
German Air Force Staff Sgt. Carsten Wedemeyer and German Air Force Tech Sgts. Jens Feddersen and Martin Wattler, all crew chiefs from the German Air Force Flying Training Center, load a GBU-24 laser-guided bomb onto a Tornado during a quarterly load-crew competition at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., July 13. The crew loaded a GBU-32 bomb and an AIM-9 Sidewinder during the competition to display their warfighting skills, while avoiding safety and procedural errors.
