Varsity soccer season ends with championship
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Dayne Griffiths and Jair Mendoza Vargas, Holloman Varsity Soccer team members, hold up the Copper Cup Tournament championship trophy Jan.16, after the Raptors defeated the Arizona-based Flagstaff Ravens 2-0 in the championship match. Eighteen members of the Holloman community, including members from both the German Air Force and the U.S. Air Force, traveled seven hours to compete in the tournament that fielded 59 teams in multiple divisions. Holloman dormitories receive new mailbox units
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Antonio LaBella, 49th Communications Squadron, tightens a bolt to hold a new mailbox unit in place Jan. 13. LaBella was one of several volunteers from the 49th CS working on a project to install new mailboxes throughout the entire Holloman dormitory complex. This self-help project will save the Air Force an estimated $100,000 and improve the quality of living for approximately 560 Airmen residing in the dormitories.
