CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT SARAH M. ESPARZA

Chief Master Sergeant Sarah M. Esparza is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 49th Wing, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. She serves as the principle enlisted leader to the Wing Commander on all issues regarding the training, safety, morale, welfare and quality of life issues affecting a total force of over 3, 500 enlisted Airmen. Chief Esparza is also the senior enlisted advisor in support of Holloman’s mission to provide combat-ready Airmen, training MQ-9 Reaper pilots and sensor operators, as well as supporting the 54th Fighter Group, Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resource Base and German Air force Flying Training Center.

Chief Esparza entered the Air Force in July 1993 as a Munitions Systems Apprentice and later retrained into Education and Training Management. She has served in various positions at squadron, group, base and FOA levels. Additionally, Chief Esparza served as an Enlisted Professional Military Education Instructor for a four year period. She has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and RESOLUTE SUPPORT. Her assignments include Arkansas, South Korea, Missouri, Texas, and the United Kingdom. Prior to her current assignment, Chief Esparza was the Superintendent, 49th Force Support Squadron, Holloman AFB, New Mexico.
