Col. Jimmey N. Labit is the Commander, Holloman Medical Group, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. He commands 275 personnel in squadrons and across the group staff and is responsible for the health and wellness of 14,000 beneficiaries to include members assigned to the 49th Wing and mission partners. Col Labit oversees medical operations by maintaining combat-ready deployable medical units, managing a $12 million budget, and ensuring compliance with medical and environmental regulatory standards.
Col. Labit enlisted in the Air Force in May 1989 as a Medical Laboratory Technician. After completing his degree at the University of New Mexico, he received his direct commission in the United States Air Force Biological Science Corps as a Medical Technologist in 2000. He then went on to serve numerous positions in the fields of clinical laboratory and leadership. Prior to his current position, the colonel was the Commander of the 673d Healthcare Operations Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
