Chief Master Sergeant SCOTT R. PIPER

CMSgt Scott R. Piper is the Command Chief, 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. In this capacity, Chief Piper serves as the senior enlisted leader and principal advisor to the Commander on readiness, welfare, professional development, and efficient management of over 2,000 Airmen. The wing provides command and control, en route maintenance support, aeromedical evacuation, expeditionary aircrew support, and air transportation services for theater and strategic air mobility missions in Europe, Southwest Asia, and Northern Africa spanning across 19 geographically separated squadrons, detachments, and operating locations in support of U.S. Transportation Command, U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command, and U.S. Central Command engagements.

CMSgt Piper entered the Air Force in July of 1999. He graduated from the Aerospace Medical Apprentice School at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas in December of 1999. His background includes diverse duties in the medical career field such as a critical care paramedic as well as being an Independent Duty Medical Technician. Throughout his career, he has filled many versatile roles including Operations Superintendent for a Special Operations Support Squadron and a Career Assistance Advisor. His assignments include bases in California, Colorado, United Kingdom, Hawaii, Kansas, Nevada, and North Dakota. He also served in contingency deployments in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, and Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. He and his wife, MSgt (ret.) Luciana Piper, have four children: Scotty Piper, Samuel, Sean, and Symon.
