Photos: The Today Show visits Holloman AFB for an up close look at the RPAs
Aaron Sasson, NBC Today Show cameraman, records the Remotely Piloted Aircraft simulator in action at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., June 24. The simulator allows the student pilot and sensor operator to get fully accustomed to flying an RPA before piloting the actual aircraft. The Today Show visited Holloman AFB to learn about and document the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper training program. According to current Air Force guidance, the last name of RPA pilots and sensor operators are not releasable due to operational security constraints.
