The Bataan Memorial Death March
WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M. – A participant in the Bataan Memorial Death March carries a prisoners of war and missing in action flag along the course here March 25, to honor more than 76,000 POW/MIAs at Bataan and Corregidor during World War II. Most of the 16 Bataan Death March survivors attending the Bataan Memorial Death March this year had to endure three years or more in POW camps after the historical 80-mile death march.
