CATM introduces close-range combat
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Ryan Likout, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordinance Disposal technician, keeps his sights on his target Nov. 8, 2011, during close-range combat training at the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) range. In addition to basic rifle marksmanship training, close-range combat training requires Airmen to shoot targets at 7, 15 and 25 meters with a combination of multiple target drills, threat discrimination and burst fire.
