Military children get glimpse of deployment
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Arrianna Burch, daughter of Senior Airman James Hastings, 49th Material Maintenance Squadron, takes a look inside a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, also known as a HUMVEE, during Operation K.I.D.: Kids Investigating Deployment, Aug. 12, 2010. Airmen from the 49th Security Forces Squadron showed kids the inside of a HUMVEE and talked to them about how they are used in a deployed location. The goal of Operation K.I.D. was to give children a better understanding of what their parents do when they deploy. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Veronica Stamps / Released)
