Team Holloman supports DoD Marrow Donor Program
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Lori Blaney, wife of Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Blaney, 49th Operations Group, registers to become a donor with the Department of Defense Marrow Program May 7, 2010, at the Base Exchange. To register to be a marrow donor, patrons have four oral swabs collected from their cheek after completing a registration form. The swabs samples are then tested to determine the human leukocyte antigen or tissue type used to initially match a donor with a potential recipient.
