Chief's Choice Award for February 2010

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Chief's Choice Award for February 2010 went to Senior Airman Thomas Young Jr. from the 49th Fighter Wing Support Staff. Chosen by Chief Master Sgt. Kathleen Rose, Airman Young is recognized for his outstanding customer service and professional image. Airman Young, an Executive Client Service Technician originally from Wichita Falls, Texas, arrived at Holloman three and a half years ago. He has earned his A+ certification which allows him to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network technical issues for the 49th FW staff and tenant units. He plans to continue his education and knowledge through certifications and classes. Airman Young said his inspiration for success comes from his mom, brother, family, friends and many of the mentors he has met throughout his life and military career. When asked how he felt about receiving the Chief's Choice Award, Airman Young responded with "I felt surprised and ecstatic. It is an honor to be recognized by the Chief's Group." Airman Young will continue to explore his interests in sports, automotives and drawing while fulfilling his personal motto; "Get it how you live it."
