The Holloman Chief’s are proud to award the November Chief’s Choice Award to Senior Airman Gabriel Ruben Castillo from the 49th Force Support Squadron. Chosen by Chief Master Sgt. Michael Hedum, Airman Castillo is a Fitness and Sports journeyman and intramural sports director at the Domenici Fitness and Sports Center. He is recognized for his outstanding customer service, professional image and behind the scenes work in aiding the transformation of the fitness center. When asked who inspires him most, he quickly replied with his wife and child. Airman Castillo is a native of El Paso, Texas, and arrived at Holloman in April 2006. His professional goals are to complete his Community College of the Air Force degree and to someday become a chief master sergeant. With his motto of working hard and doing his very best in everything he does, he is well on his way. When asked about how he felt about receiving the Chief’s Choice Award, Airman Castillo responded with “very surprised and excited.”
