Lindbergs: Military dedication through generations
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Second Lt. Jennifer Lindberg, 49th Maintenance Group, spots for a photo with her uncle, Col. Donald Lindberg, 44th Fighter Group commander, in front of the aircraft that she maintains and he flies -- the F-22A Raptor. The two Lindbergs have been stationed at Holloman together since 2008 and they were not the first. Lieutenant Lindberg's father, then-2nd Lt. Carl Lindberg, spent his first assignment as an F-15A pilot in the 8th Fighter Squadron here. The Holloman Lindbergs are direct descendants of the famed aviator, author and inventor, Charles Lindbergh. (Photo provided)
