HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M.-- Virgil George, Desert Sands Enlisted Club master barber, cuts hair here Aug. 5. He has been cutting hair at Holloman since 1957. In 1972, Mr. George was awarded a Nonappropriated Funds contract to start cutting hair at the Enlisted Club. The enlisted club barber shop is open to all active duty military, dependants and contractors, catering to a variety of hair styles.
Mr. George has many trophies and tennis paraphernalia on display in the barber shop. During his time as a barber, he competed throughout the southwest in tennis competitions as a past time. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Michael Means)
