Start Smart baseball program teaches kids the basics

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Andrew Medina, 4, son of Capt. Luis Medina, 46th Test Group, practices throwing and aiming at the Youth and Teen Center Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., May 8. They are participating in the Start Smart baseball program, which teaches children ages 3 to 5 the fundamentals of baseball before they join an official baseball team. The classes last one hour and are held twice a week for three weeks.
