Veteran's Day Parade
In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed a bill proclaming Nov. 11 as Veterans Day and called upon Americans everywhere to devote themselves to the casue of peace. The city of Alamogordo, N.M., recognized Veterans Day by having a Vetreans Day parade, Nov. 8, to honor America's fallen heroes, veterans and members who continue to serve. The Veterans Day National Ceremony is held Nov. 11 each year at Arlington National Cemetery. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Anthony Nelson)
