One Military Day - Holloman AFB, N.M.

Staff Sgt. Dustin Fontenot, 54th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, replaces the B-system hydraulic manifold, hydraulic pump and jet fuel starter on an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., April 8, 2015. Fontenot, a Louisiana native, joined the Air Force and became a crew chief eight years ago. “I chose to be a crew chief,” Fontenot said. “Compared to those who served before us, we have it really easy and that motivates me to work hard. I knew when I joined that I wanted to work on jets, and the job has taken me to places I never would have thought to go.
