One Military Day - Holloman AFB, N.M.

Since choosing to serve in the military Davis has gained a sense of satisfaction from knowing that he is the first line of defense for any installation he is stationed at. Davis gains his motivation to continue to serve from the retirees that come through the gate and thank him for his service. Davis grandfather influenced him to join the Air Force and asked him to do a minimum of four years. Davis feels that being a first responder to any incident on an installation helps contribute to the overall mission of protecting this nation. “My grandfather, schooling opportunities, safe housing on base, and the chances for travel made me join,” said Davis. Davis has been in the military for three years, even though security forces was his last choice, he enjoys his job and looks forward to a long and fulfilling career in the Air Force.
