One Military Day - Holloman AFB, N.M.

Airman 1st Class Cody Ferrante, Services specialist, prepares a wrap for a patron during lunch at the Shifting Sands Dining Facility at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., April 8, 2015. Base dining facilities are charged with ensuring proper nourishment is ready for their Airmen everyday. Ferrante, who has been in the Air Force for approximately a year, has already won several awards and attended additional training for his career field. Ferrante comes from a family that has strong military ties. Both his older brother and sister are Airmen also serving on active duty. “There are those who served before us, that made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country and our freedom, and following in their footsteps is the best way I can honor their sacrifices,” said Ferrante.
