HMS students discover science

A bottle filled with dry ice is placed in a bucket with water, showing the effects of sublimation during the Science Fair at Holloman Middle School, Oct. 7. Because the temperature of dry ice is so low, when it was placed in the water the temperature difference was as if the water was boiling— making the dry ice turn from a solid to a gas. Various organizations from around Holloman Air Force Base and the city of Alamogordo had presentations to teach Team Holloman about science and technology.
