Fightin' 49ers celebrate 55 years at Holloman Air Force Base
Fourteen historical aircraft that have been flown by the Fighting 49ers from the 49th Wing are displayed in chronological order in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the wing's assignment to Holloman Air Force Base, July 15, 2023. The 49th Wing has a rich history involving years of valorous service in the Pacific theater in World War II, and has since become the bedrock of building combat aircrew as the largest F-16 Viper and MQ-9 Reaper training wing in the Air Force.
