The Mini Mall Express grand opening was held Feb. 10, showcasing recent upgrades to the facility.

The Exchange employees are very proud of the new Express, said Phyllis Keister, Holloman Exchange General Manger. Everything there is new, from the fixtures on the lights to the floor.

"I want people to know that the remodel is finished and to come on in and check it out," said Keister. "The Express is easy to shop in, everything is very open and clean, and it looks like a brand new facility - and everybody wants to shop brand new."

Renovating the Express proved to be successful, considering the fact that it is a high-visibility area and many shop there on a daily basis, said Staff Sergeant Peter Zayas, 29th Attack Squadron aviation resource manager.

"I like the fact that the new renovation offers an increase in space for convenient shopping, and the overall appearance is clean and provides a sense of welcoming," Zayas said.

Many new products are now offered from the marketplace, said Keister. A big change to the Express was the new snack avenue, which now offers many more selections and more space to shop. The beverage isle has expanded and offers both major brands of soda. The auto center is also now well equipped.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to midnight and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to midnight.

"I am very pleased with the new layout of the Express, and especially the hours for the Airmen," said Col. Kevin Huyck, 49th Wing vice commander. "AAFES gives so much back to the Airmen - you see that every year with their generosity."

Holloman is proud to continue the partnership with Army and Air Force Exchange Services, Huyck said.
