The Holloman AFB First Sergeants Counsel, along with Senior NCOs of the Holloman Top 3 sponsored this years Operation Warm Heart campaign.

Top 3 members and squadron first sergeants manned a donation booth at the Holloman commissary for a week. These donations go into the First Sergeants Food Locker Fund.

On some occasions, young Airmen with families find themselves in a short-term jam and need assistance with basic necessities such as groceries. First sergeants and other squadron SNCOs are always in close contact with their young Airmen in the squadrons. This is just another example of SNCOs, taking care of there Airmen.

This year's campaign was a success. Thanks to the generosity of Team Holloman's commissary patrons, almost $1,600 in cash donations were given. Also, the commissary manager, K. Mike Bathgate presented the First Sergeant Counsel $350 in DECA grocery gift certificates. This was a donation made by a commissary vendor.

All of these donations eventually go back to the commissary. This ensures our Airmen and their families get assistance when they need it and, at the same time, get the most for their money.
