U.S. Army AH-64 Apache helicopters similar to these from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., will be part of approximately 30 aircraft taking part in upcoming training at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. The Army's 101st Combat Aviation Brigade will conduct high-altitude mountain training in the military operating areas around Holloman, Fort Bliss and White Sands Missile Range from Sept. 6 to Oct. 15 in preparation for upcoming deployments to Afghanistan. As part of the training, residents could experience low flying aircraft during this exercise as well as military personnel driving slowly though local areas during the day and night.
