Quarterly Military Working Dog training
Staff Sgt. Jason Otten, 49th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dog handler, oversees Staff Sgt. Travis Beatty, 49th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dog handler, being detained by Military Working Dog Rando, during a training mission in the Library Annex at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., March 19. Holloman’s 49th Security Forces Squadron Military Working Dog Unit hosted quarterly training with multiple law enforcement agencies from the surrounding areas including Border Patrol, New Mexico State University and Fort Bliss. The day consists of emergency veterinary procedure training, comparing tactics of entering a building and capturing a decoy, obedience training, and bomb search and detection.
