14 story egg drop
Students from Holloman Elementary School participate in an egg drop science project, April 14. The students threw eggs surrounded in a protective apparatus from the top of the air traffic control tower at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. The egg drop project challenges students to create a contraption that will keep an egg safe from impact after being dropped from a tall building, in this case, 14 stories. Typically eggs are dropped from the participating school’s roof. Holloman students had the unique opportunity to utilize the air traffic control tower for this project.
