Holloman Air Force Base honors volunteers during the annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, June 27 at the Desert Sands Enlisted Club at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. The ceremony is held to recognize those who volunteered April 2007 thru April 2008. This year, the volunteers contributed more than 24,350 hours throughout Hollomogordo. If the volunteers worked at minimum wage the hours would total $158,321,00. The Volunteers spent time at various places and events to include; the Holloman AFB Chapel, Medical Group, Boys and Girls Scouts, Thrift Shop, Airman's Attic, Youth and Teen Center Sports Program, Day of Caring, 572- Ride, Highway Clean-up, Special Olympics, Big Brothers and Sisters and many more.
