Holloman participates in National Fire Prevention Week
During the National Fire Prevention Week closing ceremony, Holloman Fire Services form a parade through the Soaring Heights housing community area on Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. Oct. 11. Fire Prevention Week ran from Oct. 5 until Oct. 11. The reason for this awareness week started in 1922 as a dedication and remembrance to those who lost their lives and property to the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Emergency Services provided guided tours of the fire stations, fire response demonstrations, and held a fire fighter challenge as part of their contribution to fire safety awareness and to those that served before them.
