Refueling the mission

A KC-135 Stratotanker from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., sits on the flight line at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., before taking off for a training exercise with the fighter squadrons assigned to the 54th Fighter Group Dec. 7, 2017, over the skies of New Mexico. The KC-135 has provided crucial refueling capability for the Air Force for more than 50 years, making it an invaluable tool to maintain air superiority. The training mission also offered up an opportunity for spouses and maintainers to see the flying-training mission up close. (U.S. Air Force photos by Senior Airman Chase Cannon)
