March Chief’s Choice Award

Holloman’s Chiefs Group has a monthly recognition program titled Chief’s Choice Award. Every month a chief has the honor of choosing a deserving Airman for an outstanding act or for continuous outstanding performance.

For the month of March, the chiefs are proud to present the Chief’s Choice Award to Staff Sgt. Brian Lee.

Chief Master Sgt. Manuel Silva, 635th Materiel Maintenance Support Squadron superintendent, selected Lee for his outstanding excellence.

Q. 1. What squadron are you a part of, what is your job title and what are your duties?

A. 1. I am assigned to the 635th MMSS, I am the noncommissioned officer in charge of service support. My duties are overseeing 11 active duty members and one civilian, and we maintain and manage 72 Unit Type Codes.

Q. 2. How long have you been in the Air Force?

A. 2. I will hit my eight year anniversary in May.

Q. 3. How long have you been at Holloman?

A. 3. I have been at Holloman for almost two years.

Q. 4. Where are you from?

A. 4. I am from South Carolina.

Q. 5. What is your personal motto?

A. 5. My personal motto is, “Opportunities don’t happen. You create them.”

Q. 6. Name two of your long-term goals?

A. 6. One of my long-term goals is to finish my bachelor’s degree in logistics and supply chain management. My other long-term is to commission through Officer Training School.

Q. 7. What are your off-duty interests and hobbies?

A. 7. My off duties interests and hobbies are playing softball and golf.

Q. 8. Who or what are your inspirations?

A. 8. My main inspiration is my dad, he’s a retired Chief Master Sgt. and has been a huge influence on my career.
