Need to get on base?

Beginning Wednesday, June 17, 2020, all Department of Defense ID cardholders may be allowed access to Holloman Air Force Base, including retirees.

In an effort to protect the health and well-being of the Holloman community, all individuals attempting to access the base will be asked the following questions at the gate:

  1. Have you tested positive for COVID-19?
  2. Have you had direct contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
  3. Have you been outside of New Mexico in the last 14-days?

Individuals might not be able to access the base depending on their responses. If you plan on accessing Holloman and think you may need additional screening based on the questions above, call the 49th Medical Group Public Health office at (575) 572-4887. It is highly recommended to call Public Health at least 24 hours prior to needing access to avoid delays or denied access until medical approval comes through.

All individuals utilizing base services must maintain physical distancing, comply with mask and face covering policies, limit shoppers to two per household, and use safe hygiene practices like washing hands.

Please carry a mask with you at all times as most services require the use of one. The list includes, but is not limited to, the Commissary, Base Exchange, 49th Medical Group, Child Development and Youth Centers, post office and inside the gas station.

We encourage everyone to stay current on which cities and counties throughout the state have high numbers of COVID-19 cases and avoid stops in those locations. To the maximum extent use carry out or pickup services. Although the current gate screening questions do not cover travel within the state, please prioritize the health of yourself and our community. This base posture can be reversed at any time.

Active Duty, Guard and Reserve personnel must continue to follow additional restrictions and directives. Contact your unit leadership with questions.
