Construction downtown may affect Holloman personnel

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Beginning Thursday, June 14, 2012, KR Swerdfeger Construction crews will be installing new water and sewer lines across South White Sands Boulevard in Alamogordo. Work will affect the area on South White Sands Blvd., South of First Street for approximately one week.

If possible, please avoid this area. Citizens will experience lane closures and detours. Speeds will be reduced to 15 miles per hour in the work area. Access to local businesses and for emergency vehicles will continue.

Please be cautious of crews as they are working on this busy street. Contact the City of Alamogordo Engineering Office at (575) 439-4220 with any questions or if you experience any problems in connection with this project.
