Holloman commander declares mission essential personnel for Dec. 23

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, NM -- Col. David Krumm, 49th Wing commander, has declared mission essential personnel are required for Dec. 23 due to inclement weather and unsafe driving conditions.

"Team Holloman, Happy Holidays. Althought it seems we're doing this quite frequently, based upon the current and forecasted weather conditions, Holloman personnel are designated as key and essential personel only for Dec. 23," he said.

Civilian employees may use administrative leave to document their time for today. This does not apply to employees who are already absent from duty.

Contract personnel should follow the guidance of their company leadership, their contract and collective bargaining agreement where applicable.

"Snow accumulations are expected to continue throughout the day with freezing temperatures tonight," Krumm said. "Please monitor our website and/or local media for additional announcements. Utilize extreme caution on the roadways."
