The first Caring for People Forum was initiated in 2009 by Air Force leadership to gather quality of life feedback for review, action and resolution. Since then, the Air Force Community Action Information Board, or CAIB, and Integrated Delivery System, or IDS, have held Caring for People Forums.

The forums discuss ways to increase or improve support services received by Airmen and their Families. This year Holloman will hold a Caring for People Forum. The forum will allow personnel from the base to address and resolve challenges at the installation level as well as Air Force level.

The first Caring for People Forum at Holloman will meet May 23 -25. On May 23 and 24 the forum will be held in two half-day events at the Holloman Education Center, Bldg. 224. Each day, the forum will cover different topics and include different participants.

The forum will conclude with a CAIB on May 24 at 3 p.m. in the 49th Wing Conference Room. All participants are invited to the CAIB to be held on May 25.

The forum will consist of a group of approximately 150 Airmen, spouses, Air Force civilians and teen family members. The participants will be divided into working groups in order to discuss several focus areas: teen support, deployment support, family support, single Airman support, special needs support, health and wellness, spouse communications and Reserve support.

The Holloman IDS team wants participants to know Air Force and Holloman leadership will take the participants concerns seriously. The issues discussed during the forum will be taken at the base level. If issues cannot be resolved at base level, they will be sent to Air Combat Command; and if they are unable to be resolved at ACC, they will be sent up to the Air Force level.
