Holloman participates in ORI Published April 26, 2011 49th Wing Public Affairs Office HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The 49th Wing is currently conducting an Operational Readiness Inspection this week to test the base's ability to rapidly deploy personnel, aircraft and equipment. While at the same time, local threat intelligence drives the wing into increased Force Protection Conditions. The Inspector General team from Air Combat Command will evaluate the wing's capability to quickly transition from peacetime readiness to a wartime posture and ability to rapidly deploy forces for major combat operations. With this inspection, the 49th WG Public Affairs Office will be posting press releases and stories on the official website, www.holloman.af.mil and the base's official Facebook page, www.facebook.com/HollomanonFB, to show our ability to notify base personnel and local communities of the inspection's scenarios. All exercise stories, press releases and Facebook status related to the inspection will be preceded by the words, "EXERCISE***EXERCISE***EXERCISE." However, when the inspector's scenarios drive the bases security measures into increased Force Protection measures, there can be delays at the gates and other measures within the base which could slow people down who are visiting the base and not participating in the inspection.
