Team Holloman gathered March 1 during a memorial service to honor and remember Holloman warrior, Staff Sgt. Lloyd Theriot, who passed away Feb. 24 during surgery.

The service was followed by a dignified transfer performed by the Holloman Steel Talons Honor Guard March 2 at the El Paso International Airport in El Paso, Texas.

Sergeant Theriot, an operations management craftsman with the 49th Civil Engineer Squadron, served his country for 15 years.

"Sergeant Lloyd Theriot not only provided NCO guidance in the work section, he provided a sincere, heartwarming friendship to anyone who crossed his path. His approachable personality and constant effort to keep the work section cohesive resulted in true camaraderie and effortlessly boosted moral within his section," said Chief Master Sgt. John Gibson II, 49th CES chief enlisted manager. "The loss of Sergeant Theriot has resulted in the loss of a much needed friend."
