Team Holloman mourns loss of member Published Feb. 28, 2011 49th Wing Public Affairs HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Officials with the 49th Wing have confirmed the death of Holloman Staff Sgt. Lloyd Theriot on Feb. 24 in Las Cruces, N.M. "Members of Team Holloman are saddened today by the loss of one our own. Sergeant Theriot faithfully served his country as a dedicated member of Team Holloman," said Col. David Krumm, 49th Wing commander. "Lisa and I want to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. They should know we are forever grateful for his dedicated service to the Air Force, his country and Team Holloman. He will be missed." Sergeant Theriot died during surgery at a medical facility in Las Cruces. He served as an operations management craftsman with the 49th Civil Engineer Squadron. "Sergeant Theriot delivered excellence every day he was on task for the Air Force and Holloman, interacting with and supporting many on this base from our customer service section," Lt. Col. Christian Knutson, 49th CES commander, said. "Always courteous, friendly and willing to help another, he was a fellow Airmen and friend to many." He is survived by a wife, one child and many friends from Holloman and Alamogordo.
