The U.S. Air Force's Tops in Blue performed at the Tay Center, March 4, 2010 for the local community as part of the 2009 Tops in Blue world tour that spans more than 120 locations.

Tops in Blue is made up of 35 Airmen from around the Air Force that have competed and won talent shows at bases worldwide. The top 35 performers earn the right to attend an intensive and highly accelerated 60-day training course designed to hone their amateur skills into a team of performing professionals.

The result is a band of expeditionary entertainers that perform more than 90 shows per year at bases and cities around the world, including forward deployed locations.

The distinctive history of Tops in Blue spans over half a century. Since its first world tour in 1953, the group has performed on film, produced albums and appeared on national television with such legends as Ed Sullivan, Bob Hope, Alabama, Barbara Mandrel, Boyz II Men and many others. They presented the entire half-time shows for the 1981 Garden State Bowl and Super Bowl XIX.
