Two Holloman Airmen had the honor of becoming U.S. citizens during a Veterans Day ceremony hosted by the Fort Bliss commander, Maj. Gen. Howard Bromberg, Nov. 14.

Airman 1st Class Sergio Rodriguez, 49th Logistics Readiness Squadron, originally from Mexico, and Airman Andres Fossi, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron, a Colombia native, both were naturalized along with eight other service members in front of more than 200 Vietnam veterans from around the area.

Also present were more than 400 distinguished visitors, servicemembers and family members from the Fort Bliss and Holloman communities.

After completing the Oath of Allegiance, the 10 new U.S. citizen service members received a spontaneous standing ovation from the Vietnam veterans.

Congressman Sylvestre Reyes, the guest speaker, and General Bromberg, assisted Mr. Adams in presenting the new citizen service members their naturalization certificates.
