More than 400 Team Holloman members showed up at Steinhoff Park here Oct. 23 for a fall festival as a part of the 49th Fighter Wing's Next Generation Celebration.

The family-friendly festival was an opportunity for everyone to relax with their families before the next day's open house events.

"This is a special day just for the base personnel so they can come out and enjoy themselves," said Wilie Luzano, event coordinator from the 49th Force Support Squadron. "A lot of these people are not only going to the open house tomorrow but a lot of them will be working the open house tomorrow."

The fall-themed event included activities for Team Holloman members of all ages from hayrides, to pumpkin painting and go karts -- all with a DJ setting the mood in the background and a few clowns providing laughs.

Also included in the festival was a sunset F-22A Raptor demonstration and a practice air show, giving the base an exclusive preview of a few aerial acts to be performed the next day.

The fall festival was part of the day-long 49th FW Next Generation Celebration which began with an assumption of command and wing roll call earlier that morning and ended with an after-party at the Officer's Club later that night.

"We've been doing events all day long," said Ms. Luzano. "This whole day is just about everybody coming out and having fun."
