Power outage scheduled for Soaring Heights, Alamogordo Published Oct. 7, 2009 49th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- A power outage has been scheduled for Soaring Heights Communities here and parts of Otero County Oct. 11 from 3 - 6 a.m. to make repairs to the Alamogordo substation. Otero County Electric Cooperative says power will be out continuously for the three hours while they replace a transformer at the substation. Soaring Heights Communities plans on sending out e-mail reminders to its residents Oct. 8 and 9 to inform and remind their residents of the outage. The affected areas of the outage are: Orogrande, Otero County Prison Facility, Dog Canyon, Boles Acres, Oro Vista, Green Country, Soaring Heights Communities on Holloman, White Sands Monument, U.S. Border Patrol stations along U.S. Highway 54 and U.S. Highway 70, Laborcita Canyon, La Luz Canyon, Riata Road, Sunset Acres, High Rolls, areas west and north of Tularosa, Three Rivers, Oscura and Red Rio, Dead Horse, F.A.D.D., Phillups Hill, Rita Site and Rose Peak White Sands Missile Range sites.
