First new community playground opens with ice cream celebration Published June 23, 2009 By Soaring Heights Communities HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Soaring Heights Communities recently opened the first new community playground at Holloman AFB. The SHC housing office held an ice cream celebration to officially open the new community amenity to residents! More than 20 residents came out to enjoy the new playground and spend time with neighbors. "The playground is a great addition to our community," said Dorothy Sanchez, Soaring Heights Communities Property Manager. "It is a great place for families to come together and make memories, now and in the future." The new playground offers residents toddler swings, slides of various shapes and sizes, a spring rider, monkey bars, and a covered picnic pavilion with in-ground grills. All of the materials were prefabricated and vinyl coated by Game Time Playsets, which is one of the leading suppliers of playground equipment in the USA. The playground will give residents a place to share time with their children and neighbors throughout the summer, and for years to come. "This playground is fun and exciting," said Dorothy Sanchez, Property Manger. "We know the children and adults will enjoy the new gathering place and the convenience of its location."
