The Holloman Air Force Base Tax Center will remain open until April 15 for all non-deployed personnel. Members returning from deployment ONLY will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment with the Tax Center and receive assistance until May 1.

The last day for individual wishing to electronically file (E-file) taxes is April 13. This date was established to avoid any "kicked back" returns from the IRS on the last filing day - thus protecting taxpayers from missing the April 15 deadline.

The Tax Center will prepare paper returns only on April 14 and April 15.

Appointments will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Tax Center is closed on Fridays.

The Tax Center is located in building 29, the Wing Headquarters, on First Street next to Heritage Park. Upon entering the front of the building, go upstairs and make a right. The Tax Center is at the end of the hallway on the left.

The Tax Center is open to all active duty military members, dependents and retirees. Services are limited to those making a gross income of $100,000 or less and available only through appointment.

Once an appointment is scheduled copies of the following items will be required: social security numbers for the taxpayer, spouse and all dependents; a voided check if you desire direct deposit of your return; childcare and daycare expenses as well as the name, address and social security number of the childcare provider; W-2 forms from each employer (active duty members may obtain this from https://mypay.dfas.mil); 1099R forms for retirees; interest and dividend statements; and proof of any other income.

For more information, please call the Tax Center at 572-1040.
