October is Energy Awareness Month and members of Team Holloman are asked to take responsibility and help reduce energy and water consumption.

"This is the start of a process that will help fuel tomorrows mission by securing today's energy," said Gary Stratton, electrical engineer. "The Air Force Energy Strategy sets the guidelines to help reduce demand and increase supply in order to change our culture," he said.

The change won't be hard, but it will take work from everyone.

"By doing simple things like turning of the lights and unoccupied equipment in your work area during the duty day as well as non duty hours you can help. That will add up all over the base," said Patrick Jenkins, electrical engineer.

However, Mr. Jenkins said not to forget that your work computer must stay on at all times.

"We can do so much to help cut down on unnecessary energy consumption. Be aware and help conserve our energy today to power tomorrow," he said.
