Holloman offers a lot of programs to help train and educate Airmen. Among those programs is the Customer College.

Customer College is a four hour course held at the 49th Fighter Wing Customer College and Training Center, located in building 812.

The course is composed of subjects such as discovering how personality and attitude affect customers and team interaction, and learning the importance of teamwork.

"The overall purpose of Customer College is to deliver programs that are easily transferred to the work place, and are structured with a broad mindset as far as what the definition of service really means," said Ms. Sydnee Vinson, 49th Force Support Squadron, customer college training technician.

Customer College trains front-line and behind-the-scenes service providers from all Holloman and Alamogordo's organizations. Training focuses on improving students' communication skills, handling of difficult customers, teamwork and the ability to meet the customers' needs.

"I thought this was an excellent class, it especially helps those who deal hands on with customers," said Airman 1st Class Andrea Brewer, 49th Fighter Wing, staff judge advocate.

"Once you challenge someone to improve and build upon themselves, it helps them to help other and becomes a very natural process," said Ms.Vinson. That's where my job lies. I'm not just teaching people, I'm trying to help them to help themselves.
