Military appreciation weekend in Ruidoso

RUIDOSO, N.M. -- On April 11-12, 2008, the Village of Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs will sponsor a Military Appreciation Weekend to show their gratitude for the contributions of the U.S. military forces to the Global War on Terrorism and to our nation's defense.
There will be military displays and demonstrations from Holloman Air Force Base, Kirtland Air Force Base and Ft. Bliss including a Hum-V, combat gear, CPR display, police dog handlers, munitions, ejection seat, Stealth trainer, and rappelling and Honor Guard drill teams. There will also be a fly-by of the F-117 Stealth Fighter on Saturday April 12 at 10 am. Demonstrations will be from 1 - 5 p.m. on Friday April 11, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday April 12.
