Holloman schools recognize Veterans Day

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- In honor of Veterans Day, Holloman Air Force Base public schools will be closed on Nov. 11.

Veterans Day honors those who have served in the armed forces. Veterans Day also coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world to mark the anniversary of the end of World War I.

Holloman Public Schools are scheduled resume normal operating hours the following day, Nov. 12.
